Concentration Basics: Mass, Volume, and mcg/mL

Concentration is simply mass divided by volume. A 5 mg vial brought to 2 mL of diluent yields 2500 mcg/mL.
Changing the diluent volume changes the concentration, not the total mass of material in the vial.
Recording the concentration on the vial label keeps later laboratory measurements consistent.
