Bringing a lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder into solution means adding a measured volume of solvent.
The two variables that matter most are the mass of material in the vial and the volume of solvent added. Together they define concentration.

Common mistakes
Adding solvent too quickly
Direct the stream against the vial wall. A fast stream into the powder foams the material and can degrade it.
Shaking instead of rolling
Roll gently between palms; never shake. Vigorous agitation shears peptide bonds.
Mismatched units
Confusing mg and mcg is the most common calculation error. 1 mg = 1000 mcg. Always double-check.
